Beyond the zombies and bloodshed, "Train to Busan" is a stunning artistic achievement. It is essentially the "Titanic" of zombie movies—a film that can make you weep openly while watching a fight scene. The actors, particularly Kim Su-an, who plays the young daughter Soo-an, deliver a performance that is considered among the best child actor performances in world cinema.

The film is unique because it uses the cramped, claustrophobic setting of the train cars perfectly. Unlike the slow, shambling zombies of classic films, the infected in "Train to Busan" are ferocious, running and swarming with terrifying speed and agility. The setting locks the surviving characters into a series of cars they must pass through, forcing them to find clever ways to navigate the zombie hordes. The fight to survive isn't just physical. The character of a selfish businessman shows how fear can make people worse monsters than the zombies.

The selfish businessman who learns the value of community and sacrifice.
