Anjaam (which translates to "Consequence" or "Outcome") follows Vijay Agnihotri (Shah Rukh Khan), a spoiled, ultra-wealthy young man accustomed to getting everything he desires. His life changes irrevocably when he meets Shivani Chopra (Madhuri Dixit), a fierce and independent air hostess. Vijay instantly becomes infatuated with her, misinterpreting her polite professionalism as reciprocal romantic interest.

Anjaam was, and still is, a shockingly violent film. For 1994 audiences, the visceral depiction of gore and the relentless psychopathy of its villain were a tough pill to swallow.
