The film follows two young girls, Victoria and Lilly, who vanish into the woods on the day their parents are killed. They are found five years later, alive but feral, in a decrepit cabin. Their uncle and his girlfriend take them in, but soon realize that a terrifying, supernatural presence—the entity the girls call "Mama"—has followed them home.
