This paper examines how unreleased musical snippets from Dua Lipa’s 2023 recording sessions circulate online, shape fan expectations, and create para-social narratives around album rollout strategies. Using digital ethnography and discourse analysis of fan forums (Reddit, Twitter, ATRL), the study identifies how “RO Sessions” (a fan-coined term for Radical Optimism outtakes) function as ephemeral content that blurs line between promotional teaser and leaked intellectual property.
