The group "CODEX" was one of the most prominent digital preservation and emulation testing groups on the internet before they officially retired in early 2022. Because they stopped operations shortly after the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection launched, files like Update.v1.0.0.2-CODEX.rar represent some of their final archival releases for Team Ninja titles.
