Many players argue that the standard ending (escaping the cave) is the bad ending. Koishi merely buries her trauma. The is different: After embracing your shadow, Koishi shatters her remaining eye intentionally. The screen goes white. You wake up in a field of sunflowers with a single text line:

Now go. The unconscious awaits. Just remember—in v104, the cave remembers everything. Even what you have not yet forgotten.

Koishi wanders into a cave that should not exist – a subconscious void created by her own closed third eye. Every defeat rewrites the cave’s layout.
