Connect the device to your PC via Ethernet or USB client cable.

Before starting the update process, it is critical to prepare to avoid damaging your device or losing data. Zkteco Update Firmware

Navigate to the device menu: Main Menu > System Info > Firmware Info . Note down the current version and release date. Connect the device to your PC via Ethernet

If your device is part of a large network managed by ZKTime, ZKBio Access, or BioTime, you can push the update remotely. Note down the current version and release date

Copy the update.dat file to the root directory of the USB drive (not inside a folder).

Navigate on device: Menu > USB Management > Update Firmware
