Remember: EVE-NG’s development is active. An “old version” from 2021 (e.g., v2.0.3-95) is vastly different from one from 2024 (v5.x). Always verify the build number, not just the major version.

Built largely on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS baselines. Highly stable for older Cisco IOL (IOS on Linux) and basic QEMU nodes.

Even if you use an older EVE-NG version, try to keep the QEMU packages updated to support newer virtual appliance images.
